Wedding: Haley + Austin

Aside from being utterly beautiful, the reason I loved working with Haley to create such a picture perfect wedding is simple… there were no rules or restrictions. Haley supplied me with photos, an overall vision of her wedding and two simple key phrases: Shabby-chic and Natural {two words I just love!}. And then we just ran with it.

{Shabby-Chic: The tables were dressed with an ivory gauze material, gathered in the center and decked out with mismatched votives. Natural: In mint julep cups and tarnished metal pitchers, decorative kale, garden roses, succulents, kangaroo paw, brunia, purple majesty and foliage became the hub and source of many ooooos and ahhhhhs.}
It was simply gorgeous, the kind of wedding that makes you cringe with envy and cheer with glee at the exact same time. Which doesn’t come as any surprise considering the photographer behind the lens was Nathan Russell who has a knack for taking some of the greatest shots ever {For real... Just check out his blog for yourself!}. This just might be my favorite wedding yet. Congrats you two!

one helluva week

Did you miss me?! Well, I’m hoping that I haven’t lost all my followers {yes, all five of you} but you must forgive me, last week was totally and completely a where-in-the-hell-did-the-day-go-whirlwind. Yep, great for the business, but not so great for my sanity, social calendar and health due to lack of sleep and poor meal decisions. BUT my blood-shot eyes, aching back, two pound weight gain and lack of social interaction was well worth it for the helluva wedding that concluded the eventful weekend with a massive BANG! I’ll spill the beans later, but for now, here’s a sneak peek of the sweet vintage, home spun wedding of Amanda and Bill…

favorite {wedding} friday

This week’s favorite wedding is a bit self-indulgent, considering I’ve already bragged on Bre and Adam’s ahhhh-mazing wedding last month… but what the heck, here we go again! The super sweet and brilliantly creative Kelly Cameron of Kelly Cameron Photography sent over some fabulous sneak peek photos of the ceremony and reception and I just can’t keep them to myself for any longer. I must share now…

wedding design: bre + adam

Ohhh, and it's Monday again. But at least we get to share pretty things! Remember when I mentioned Bre {the bride whose style was my style} and Adam {the groom whose only request was symmetry}… Well, my favorite photog {Cory of Jackson Wright Photography}came through, once again, with images that captured all the little details that made this wedding completely seamless and one of a kind. Overall design and floral arrangements by yours truly {moi}, making this wedding a true Sweet Sunday Event Design.

karen + leonard

There is nothing I love more than working with nice, organized and creative people. So when Karen came by my shop I was thrilled to help her {considering she was a whole lot of all three wonderful characteristics}. She was in the mist of pulling off the best wedding day surprise ever… not for her husband, but for her entire family and closest friends. The plan was in motion. She invited the special attendees to an engagement party at her apartment, but what they didn’t know was the party was actually their wedding. Eeek! A wedding! The layout of Karen and Leonard’s apartment was perfect. Upon entering the front door, guests trekked up a flight of stairs before the shock and confusion set in. A photographer captured the surprised looks on each guest’s face as they learned they were about to witness two wonderful people commit to a lifetime of love. I mean, what could be better than that?! Following the nuptials {and as the initial shock wore off} the guests were relocated to the clubhouse for cupcakes, drinks and smiles. I have a sneaky suspicion this is a wedding their guests will not soon forget! Congrats Karen and Leonard and their little man {how adorable is he?!}!
