protea, the new succulent

One thing is certainly clear this season. Protea are all the rage. Dare I say it’s the new succulent?!  Protea used as single stems or paired with soft, fluffy flowers, either way you go, you are going to have one texture filled arrangement. We used our fair share of protea over the last year and not one arrangement feel short of fabulous. But I would never turn my back on the ever-steady-go-to succulent. Ahh, why the heck not use both, protea and succulents in the same arrangement? I would!
