kaci + tad wed

Our dream bride walked into our shop last November and we have had a major crush on her ever since. With inspiration from the wedding shoot of all wedding shoots, the food truck shoot over on GWS.

Kaci and Tad {the bride and groom} have a very clean, modern esthetic, but trust me, they did not lack personality and definitely weren’t scared of pattern or color. Kaci was certain chevron pattern had to be incorporate, which was PERFECTLY a-okay with us, seeing as though we are totally obsessed! The chevron pattern didn’t stop at the wedding invitations. The square arch, our carpenters so masterfully built, displayed the pattern as the red and white stripes on the straws added subtle color. And yellow and white chevron runners accented white linens on tables.

Guests were directed to each setup, as they walked through arches with citron accents and large round chalkboards. You can’t get wrong with citron!

Tabletops. Oh, the tabletops! Half of the tables displayed patterned linens and we opted for pegboard runners to tone down the busy pattern and white mod candle holders were mixed with hot pink gravel and succulents. A collection of mismatched candle holders, antlers, branches and wood slabs were the perfect combination on the remaining tables.

And did you notice the fabric feathers and braids? Of course you didn’t! Aren’t they the perfect little details to make this Modern Gypsy wedding come together swimmingly?! I just can’t stop day dreaming of how wonderful this wedding was. Just wish you could have seen it with your own to eyes, but atlas the shots taken by the talented girls of Joielala will do the trick…

haleigh + colin wed

What can one do with paper and a sewing machine? Ohhhh, let me count the ways...
1. Old books turned into paper strands bunched and stacked, some were also sewn together to create new and fun textures. All together the old books created a lovely and dramatic centerpiece hanged impeccably from the center chandelier.
2. Classic cardstock was added as a pop of color mixed in the book strands and pink ombre bunting draped to the outside chandeliers just perfectly above the guest tables during the reception.

3. Coffee filters were dyed and turned into ombre flowers at the hand crafted ceremony arch and cake backdrop.

OH!, let’s not forget the gorgeous tabletops. Painter’s gauze was ombre dyed and gathered in the center of the tables. Gorgeous milk glass vases were painted gold and held white hydrangea, beautiful garden roses, ranunculus, fever few and fern.

Haleigh {our super sweet bride} collected over a hundred mismatched vintage napkins, painted mini clothes pins that just pushed the level of sweet overboard. Seriously, between us and the bride, not one detail was overlooked. It was clear the guests were incredibly thrilled with the soiree as they danced the night away and ended the night with a ribbon send off for Haleigh and Collin with a Tiff’s Treat in hand!

what's been going on

It’s about time I dive back into blogging, don’t ya think?! Honestly, I’m damned near confused at where to even begin. Wedding season has been nuts. Seriously, nutty {but so enjoyable!}. In between back to back weddings for the past 2 months, I was actually able to squeeze in a surprise 30th birthday party for my mister, celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary, found one day to lake it up with the family, went to 2 movies {TWO!} and discovered a new fav restaurant and cocktail… oh, and partook in a handful of photo shoots—one in particular I can’t get enough of {more to come on that later}.

Ahh, geez, and through all that word vomit, is still don’t know where to begin! Maybe I’ll just share with you our latest big-time blog features and then go into more detail of each amazing wedding in the coming days? Yeah, I think that just might work...
