I really, really dislike loud noises. Like when the radio is turned up too high in a vehicle, when people speak too loud or slam doors, the sound of shattering glass and annoyingly loud motorcycles or souped up trucks... or even when balloons pop. But I certainly do not hate the look of these marvelous balloon photos…

floating beds
Surprise, surprise, Anthropologie started yet another movement—according to the ultimate trend setters, beds are more than a comfy place to catch zzz’s on. Hammocks are cool, but a hanging bed would be so much better... don’t you think?! Okay-okay, so maybe a hanging bed isn’t so practical for your wedding or engagement shoot, but it would be a fun hangout spot for your guests to gather or to house your gifts stylishly throughout the reception.

aisle decor upgrades
Petals lining the aisle. Possibly tall cylinders with floating candles. Or flowers tied to the chairs. Those are all pretty, classic ideas to accent your ceremony aisle. But how about you jazz your wedding ceremony up a bit with…

We’ve been on the hunt. The ultimate search, that just so happens to be a fun side project. I mean, really, how many people get to go antiquing on the j-o-b?!! We’ve acquired a stunning, one of a kind vintage compilation that would rival your great grandmother’s collection. It’s about time we finally debut some of our vintage rental pieces to the masses {to see more, check out our facebook page}.

sew in love shoot
Yarn, lots of it...Watercolor inspiration turned reality... Whimsy, just a touch… check, check, check!
Sometimes the mood just strikes you to design something different, to make you step outside of the box to create a look that isn’t so typical. Something that is fun and free, without restrictions. This shoot was just that for us! With my love of yarn art and a watercolor, we created a fabulous faux wedding that raises the bar on what any wedding should aspire to be. Goodness, don’t you just want to jump in the photos and join the merriment?!

pretty bouquets
By now, you probably know me enough to know that I like anything different. Simple twists on conventional style that makes it exceptional. This is no different when it comes to bouquets. Take a look for yourself…
Traditional, rounded bouquet
vs the full of personality {and my very favorite!}, cone bouquet...
or the loose, wild bouquet...

wedding: Marsha + Matt
Marsha and Matt got married {in the knick of time, just before the storm rolled through}! Marsha is a wild child, my best friend from high school, who always had a brilliant idea that turned disastrous in the end, but we survived thinking “man that was nuts” with a smile our faces. She is a great friend and I was super lucky to be standing by her side on her wedding day as she married Matt. Oh, Matt, the soft spoken, easy-going country boy that tamed her wild ways... way.to.go! Now here’s a glimpse into their big day, courtesy of Kelly Cameron Photography…
Congrats, you two!

a lovely door backdrop
Who needs an arch or colonnade {though we do carry theses too} when we have a lovely door backdrop with so much more personality and style?! Standing alone at the end of the aisle or at the start of the aisle, with or without the addition of flowers—whichever way you choose to use it, this really is a unique piece that would complete your ceremony site!
Thank you Kelly Cameron Photography for the images!

favorite {photo} friday
Have you ever found yourself flipping through the pages of a magazine, day dreaming of stepping into those pages—is that weird?! Just last week I was reading Town and Country magazine and wanted to leap into Alexandra Fuller’s home in Kenya, but only for a bit because I didn’t want to get too hot! I would have stayed long enough to gab over tea and parooz through her lovely home, then make it back to my real life in time to watch Big Brother. Oh, and I’d really like to explore of this locale, but only if Free People agrees to style me too…

desserts in jars
It’s a proven fact that desserts served out of a jar just taste better. Alllright, so, maybe it’s not exactly proven, but my vote would go towards a pie in a mason jar any day— I smile just looking at these sweet treats! And what’s even better than that is you can do it all from your very own kitchen. I have a feeling I’ll find time this weekend to test out these rainbow cupcakes…
