Capes are making quite the appearance this season. And I, for one, am smitten.

jenny + david, austin wedding
Back in August, Jenny and David had a beautiful wedding at the Four Seasons hotel in Downtown Austin. Talk about one romantic wedding! The festivities started off with a nighttime ceremony. It was glowing with candlelight, scattered with dreamy flowers, and showed off our custom made chuppah. Inside the ballroom our arrangements in varying reds, pinks, blushes, and ivories helped to set the mood for a lavish affair. At the end of the night a mariachi band and karaoke DJ turned the event into a bash. Sweet Sunday is oh so happy we got the chance to do the flowers, styling, and coordinating for Mr. and Mrs. Blanco. We wish you the best. Congrats and Mazel Tov!

marsha + matt: newlywed shoot
Listen up brides: We also style engagement shoots, or in this case, newlywed shoots!
Remember Marsha + Matt who got married last May? Planning a wedding in the middle of Marsha finishing school and Matt over working, they just couldn’t find the time to shoot engagement photos in all the chaos. Which, in the end, totally worked in our favor because I have just been dying to style a shoot with the AWESOME, Kelly Cameron. And boy, from the bed floating on a cloud to the crafted heart balloons, did this one turn out perfectly!

In the words of Kelly Cameron: Marsha and Matt don't mess around. They are serious about this thing called love. Celebrating their wedding this May, they decided to wait until all the hustle and bustle was over to take a country-pace at their belated engagement (now newlywed) session. To further set themselves apart, they asked Sweet Sunday Events (who also styled their wedding) to make their portrait session completely unique. It is safe to say, Sweet Sunday Events swept us all away -and we have the pictures to prove it. Floating on a quilted bed of clouds, paired with rustic pallets and bold patterns that simply smile at you with cheerfulness, the first design virtually sings a bubbly love song. Utilizing the wild landscape for the second portion of the shoot, we truly featured the intimate romance that sparks between this young couple. Cowboy boots and cactus make this country boy and girl quite at home. Elegant whimsy paired with warm, dark tones make the third setting truly stand out from the norm. Break out the brandy snifter and drink in this vintage-chic take on a Southwestern sunset. One of the things I love about Sweet Sunday Events' stylings and florals are how they blend the old with the new in a very outside -the-box way. In this session, they got to know the couple and then designed around their personal style while bringing in creativity that makes you go, "WOW! How did they think of that?!" Like the paper heart "balloons" in the tree with lacy yarn string. They do design. And they do it really well.

whoopsy daisy
Holy moly, it feels good to be back! An unexpected hiatus from blogging happens, but over a month of null blog action is a bit ridiculous in my book. Stillness on the blog only means one thing though and I promise you will be in awe when our designs are shared in the next few weeks. I hate secrets and I’m probably the most impatient person you will ever meet, so I can’t wait for the professional photos before I share…
