Who wouldn’t want a wedding cake as marvelously dramatic… ahem, I mean… as enchantingly sweet as you were in the seventh grade?! With colors that are to die for and designs straight off couture runways, these are artfully planned and precisely executed cakes that I would find difficult to eat {simply because they are way too pretty}.

What would you do if your venue burned down just a few months prior to your big day? Well, just ask Amanda. She’s been there. Done that.  And wouldn’t want to go through it again. This, by far, has to be one of the worst things that could happen to a bride, but major kudos to Amanda for rolling with it and making the best of what Mother Nature created. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t all she imagined, as the beautiful rustic building was replaced with an enclosed tent… but with all the brilliant personal details, the wedding could have been in the middle of the desert and still looked fabulous!

I was so fortunate to spend this past weekend with a fantastic group of friends at the best dive bars Austin has to offer and privileged to work with a fabulous team of vendors that totally rocked a room at the Diamond Domain Bridal Soirée ... Oh, did I mention our room design took home 1^st place in the design competition?! {Pictures and more on that later.} For now, check out our new-fangled promotional booklets...

it's a new year

I hope you all jumped for joy {and wore something sparkly} while ringing in the New Year this past weekend…  I know I’m ecstatic to see what 2011 has in store! My mister and I made a list of “must do-no excuses-I hate to use the word resolution” bulleted list {with little empty boxes to place an X next to once completed}. You can bet most of these planned achievements have to do with the grand ideas for our ever-growing wedding world… which may just rule our life, but I swear we wouldn’t have it any other way. Just sit tight and I look forward to watching Sweet Sunday Events and our other connecting businesses grow with you in 2011!
